Philly Pretzel Factory celebrated its grand opening today at 601 Portion Road in Lake Shore Plaza. The new pretzel shop is located near Shop Rite.
The pretzel-making establishment shared details with OnSachem about the company and its latest location.
“Philly Pretzel Factory offers consumers a fresh, satisfying snack with their fresh-baked pretzels that are ‘served hot outta the oven,’” a spokesperson said. “Philly Pretzel Factory was founded in 1998 by college buddies Dan DiZio and Len Lehman and has grown into the largest Philly style pretzel bakery in the world, feeding customers at 170 franchised locations spreading across the country out of Philadelphia.”
Philly Pretzel Factory bakes and sells traditional Philly style pretzels as well as pretzel twists, mini pretzels, rivets, pretzel dogs, cheesesteak pretzels, and a variety of mustards.
You won’t find pretzels made at a central bakery and shipped to the local establishment. According to the Philly Pretzel Factory, all pretzels are made from scratch every day at each location.
The Lake Ronkonkoma franchise is owned by Michael Campites and Vincent Napolitano, according to the spokesperson.
