Just as the snow from last weekend’s storm is almost completely melted, more snow is on Denver’s forecast for tonight.
A weather system is expected to arrive Sunday afternoon. According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Sunday will see a high of 44 degrees with a low around 29. There’s a slight chance of rain between noon and 3 p.m. that increases to 100% chance of snow after 7 p.m.
The NWS says snow accumulation tonight will be between 2-4 inches with another 1-2 inches early Monday.

The metro area is under a winter weather advisory from 6 p.m. Sunday through noon Monday. The area is also under an air quality alert, with the NWS advising residents to reduce driving today.
The heaviest snow will fall in the foothills and mountains, the NWS said. Genese could see a foot of fresh snowfall overnight.

Snow is forecast to continue through 9 a.m. Monday. The NWS predicts a high of 40 degrees and a low of 24 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.
The snow should return Tuesday afternoon. There’s a 60% chance of precipitation, according to NWS. The high Tuesday will be 46 degrees with a low of 26.
