After three years, Menomonee Falls Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will close Aug. 21, said President Gerald Melville in a written statement.
According to its website, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market focuses on fresh, healthy, natural and organic products.
The 29,050-square-foot Fresh Thyme Farmers Market opened at N89 W16849 Appleton Ave. in May 2017.
“All successful organizations continually review their performance and look for ways to improve. After many months of intense focus and support of this store, we have made the decision to close it," Melville said in his statement. "Our talented team members in this store have worked incredibly hard to engage with the Menomonee Falls community, and we appreciate their efforts."
Melville added that the company will help its employees work at other Fresh Thyme stores in the greater Milwaukee area. The stores in Milwaukee, Greenfield and Brookfield and Kenosha will remain open, he said.
Fresh Thyme Farmers Market launched its five-year plan in 2014 to open 60 new stores and create 5,000 jobs in the Midwest.
The first store opened in Mount Pleasant, Illinois, in 2014. The Brookfield location, 17300 W. Bluemound Road, and the Milwaukee location, 470 E Pleasant St., opened in 2015.
